Bolivar Belicosos Finos Reserva Cosecha 2016

Updated: Mar 16, 2021

One of the most loved smokes by aficionados gets the Reserva band.

The Bolivar Belicosos Finos Reserva Cosecha 2016 is the same size as the iconic, well-known Bolivar Belicosos Finos. The 5½x52 belicosos is famous amongst Cuban cigar connoisseurs. But the Bolivar Belicosos Finos Reserva Cosecha 2016 is slightly different when it comes to the blend and the marketing.

The Bolivar Belicosos Finos Reserva Cosecha 2016 uses specially selected leaves from the 2016 crop. The curing of the tobacco for the Reserva and Gran Reserva series is also on another level. All the tobacco comes from Vuelta Abajo, which is a famous region within Pinar del Rio.

The cigars come with an extra ring, as all Reserva and Grand Reserva lines do. A classy black and silver ring that screams luxury. And they come in black lacquered boxes of twenty cigars. Usually, the Reserva and Gran Reserva editions sell for several times the price of the regular production counterparts.

Since 2003 Habanos releases the Reserva series every two years, except between 2007 and 2012. The difference between regular production and the Reserva series is that the Reserva series uses tobacco that has been aging for 3 years. Which is still considered as very young tobacco in other cigar producing countries. A few years later, Habanos came up with the Gran Reserva series with the tobacco of five years of age.

The Bolivar Belicosos Finos Cigar is one of the most loved smokes by aficionados, and so, Habanos has dedicated its own Reserva. It features the Campana vitola – measuring at 140 mm by 52 ring gauge. It provides a full-bodied, with alluring aromas typical of Bolivar Cigars such as wood and spice.
