Diplomaticos Bushido ER Asia Pacifico 2014

A highly sought-after vitola nowadays.

The Diplomaticos Bushido Cigar is a regional edition cigar from the Asia Pacific region. This Cuban cigar was produced to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the first Japanese Samurai visiting Cuba.

It features a No.109 vitola - which is famous for its tapered head. It's rare to find a recent cigar with this vitola nowadays. This Diplomaticos Cigar comes packaged in a decorative outer box which demonstrates its Pacific routes. The ornate black shell with gold foil really enhances the Samurai based history.

The No. 109 vitola is a 7 1/4 (184mm) x 50 Churchill extra that features a special cap. It is a hybrid between a standard parejo cap, i.e. the relatively flat covering you see on a robusto or toro, and a belicoso-style cap. The end result is something that tapers like a belicoso, but ends up creating a much softer top with no point.

Habanos S.A. brought it back for the Edmundo Dantes El Conde 109, an Edición Regional release for Mexico, and since then it has appeared on a number of Edición Regional releases, as well as some non-Cuban cigars. In true Edición Regional fashion, the Bushidos didn’t get released until 2015. Due to the special size and limited nature, Bushidos have become one of the most sought-after Edición Regionals of the last five years.
