H. Upmann Magnum 52 - Year Of The Tiger

A completely new vitola for the Habanos S.A. portfolio.

The H. Upmann Magnum 52 - Year Of The Tiger was presented by Habanos, S.A., together with its distributors for the Asia-Pacific region and China, The Pacific Cigar Company and Infifon Hong Kong Limited. A virtual unboxing has been conducted.

Red is a symbol of prosperity in Chinese culture, and just like last year’s Hoyo de Monterreys that celebrated the Year of the Ox, the H. Upmann cigars come in glossy red, decorative boxes. The six-sided boxes hold 18 of the H. Upmann Magnum 52s, all of which are fitted with a footband depicting a tiger. The Magnum 52 (52 ring gauge / 148 mm length) is a vitola that will be produced in limited quantities but will be available in all Habanos markets.

The Magnum 52 is the newest addition to H. Upmann’s Magnum series of heavy ring gauge cigars, which includes the Magnum 46, Magnum 48 Edición Limitada, Magnum 50, Magnum 54 and special editions such as the Magnum 56 (presented in jars for duty-free) and the Super Magnum, created for the 2020 Colección Habanos presentation.

Herman Upmann was a German banker whose love of Cuban cigars led him to settle in Havana in 1840. He founded a bank and a Habanos factory in the city. The bank eventually closed, but his brand of premium cigars remains to this day.
