A birthday cigar for the most famous brand in the world.
In 2015, Habanos S.A. announced a very special cigar for the 80th anniversary of the world's most famous and best-selling Habanos brand: the Montecristo 80 Aniversario. With a length of 165 mm and a ring gauge of 55, this massive format, whose production name is also "80 Aniversario", has been newly developed and has been launched exclusively for this occasion. With a good one-year delay, the Montecristo 80 Aniversarios eagerly awaited by aficionados around the world were coming to the market. A total of 20 pieces of these cigars are packed according to the occasion in an exceptionally designed, particularly noble box. It is made of the finest woods of Cuba and the varnish has a matte finish.
The format is part of the "Edición Limitada" of 2015, so it consists of tobaccos aged for at least two years, as is customary for this series. Deviating from the rule, the Montecristo 80 Aniversarios do not bear the usual Edición Limitada ring, but a very special second ring, which refers to the 80th anniversary of the brand founded in 1935. The Montecristo ring also presents itself here in a unique design that has never been used for any other cigar of this brand.
The specially selected tobaccos come from the best tobacco plantations in Pinar del Rio, the home of tobacco, which is one of the best in the world. From these tobaccos, a completely new blend was created, which on the one hand is very balanced, but on the other hand spoils the aficionados with particularly intense flavors.
Creamy, spice grassy, after all medium/ full bodied with salty notes.
