Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro

The royal format of the Vegas Robaina family.

Would you like a premium long filler from Cuba from a cigar expert who is almost revered as a "god" by some? Then go for the Vegas Robaina cigars, which can be traced back to Alejandro Robaina. His smokes are so outstanding that heads of state all over the world have been seduced by them and shaken his hand.

The Don Alejandro is the royal format of the Vegas Robaina family. It is named after the owner Alejandro Robaina, who died in 2010. The "Don" stands for "gentleman" in Spanish and is mainly used in Central American and South American countries when addressing people. The cigar of the Cuban tobacco legend - he supposedly smoked 60,000 to 80,000 cigars in his lifetime - measures a proud 19.4 cm and is one of the best in the country.

Anyone visiting the Pinar del Río region in western Cuba can visit the finca between the towns of San Luis and San Juan y Martinez. However, cigars are not produced there. The tobacco plants, the drying shed and the residential house are located there. In addition, the fermentation of the fine tobacco is carried out there.

Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro cigars are mild and yet relatively complex. This is immediately noticeable with the impressive Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro. The smoker of the long Churchill format with a thick diameter can detect several nuances of flavour, with woody and leathery aromas in the foreground. These are the typical aromas of the Cuban brand - the only one that is allowed to market itself...

Although the novice cigar smoker may dare to try Vegas Robaina cigars - the Don Alejandro will eventually become too much for him with a smoking time of a good 90 minutes. In the first third, the Cuban cigar is still very mild. In the second smoking section, it presents itself mild to medium-bodied and quite even in taste with some very fine nuances. At the latest in the last third, however, the first signs of fatigue can spread, as good as the cigar from Cuba may taste. Finally, the strength also increases somewhat and the flavours seem more leathery.

For fans of Vegas Robaina and premium enjoyment from Cuba, the powerful, harmonious Churchill is a must. You should take your time for the smoking experience and combine the Havana with a whisky if you wish.
